Nusrat Jahan Rafi, 19, was doused with kerosene and set on fire on the roof of her Islamic school on 6 April, days after filing a complaint. Headmaster Siraj Ud Doula, targeted in the complaint, is among those charged. Police say he ordered her murder from prison when she refused to withdraw her accusations against him. They described the preparations for the killing as being like a "military plan". The case sparked mass protests in Bangladesh and shone a spotlight on the vulnerability of victims of sexual assault and harassment in the country. President Muhammadu Buhari and wife as  he recites the oath of office for second tern. President Muhammadu Buhari has been inaugurated for a second term in office. The inauguration was done at the Eagle Square in the Nigerian capital, Abuja. Wednesday’s inauguration was low-key with many foreign leaders and former Nigerian presidents absent. The government had earlier announced that the event would be low-key as major parts of the event had been rescheduled for June 12, which has been declared Democracy Day. Mr Buhari won the February presidential election, defeating dozens of other candidates, including his main challenger Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party. According to the electoral commission, Mr Buhari polled 55.6 per cent of the votes (15,191,847) to defeat Mr Abubakar who polled 41.2 per cent (11,262,978). Steve Biro snapped the image of Bruce the bald eagle at the Canadian Raptor Conservancy and first posted it on some Facebook photography groups. The image of the bird of prey "staring daggers" at the photographer with its piercing eyes has since gone viral. The photo is one of several hundred Mr Biro took of the bird that day. "He's squared up perfectly, both wings are touching the water," he told the BBC. "That [photograph] was the one that struck me as as little more special than the others. Jake Patterson, 21, will serve two life terms without parole for the murder charges and 40 years for kidnapping. Patterson said he chose to kidnap Ms Closs after seeing her board the bus to school. She was found alive in January after escaping from the remote cabin where Patterson held her. She had been kept there against her will for 88 days. The teenager was found by a local teacher, Jeanne Nutter, who was walking her dog. Nutter said that Ms Closs was skinny, dirty and wearing shoes too large for her feet. Ms Nutter told the Associated Press that the girl shouted "please help me, I don't know where I am, I'm lost". Students were seen jumping and falling from the building in the western city of Surat as black smoke billowed from windows. Most of the victims were teenagers who had been studying at a tuition centre. The initial cause of the fire was not immediately clear. Officials said the blaze spread through packed classrooms because of flammable roofing. At least 20 others sustained serious injuries and were being treated in hospital in Gujarat. "The students lost their life both because of the fire and jumping out of the building," Deepak Sapthaley, a local fire official, told AFP.
