Cafe Coffee Day Tycoon's Body Found

VG Siddhartha went missing on Monday  after apparently walking away from his car and driver. On Tuesday, police said a body had been found by fishermen on the river. The identity was confirmed by members of Mr Siddhartha's family after the body was taken to hospital. Mr Siddhartha's company, Coffee Day Enterprises Limited, held an emergency board meeting on Monday to discuss his absence. In a statement, it appealed for "the support and strength of all our stakeholders". Sheikh Mohammed Al Maktoum's wife, Princess Haya Bint al-Hussein, is the third female member of his court to run away from the United Arab Emirates. This month she was reported to be in hiding in London in fear for her life. The UK court case centres around their children, with whom she fled. Princess Haya, who was born in Jordan and educated at private schools in Britain, is an Olympic equestrian and the half-sister of the current Jordanian ruler, King Abdullah II. Army Aircraft Crashes Into Residential Area Killing 17

Media caption Pakistan military plane crash reduces buildings to rubble At least 17 people have been killed and 12 injured after a small military plane crashed into a residential area near the Pakistani city of Rawalpindi. Five crew members and 12 civilians were among the dead, the army said. The aircraft was on a training flight when it crashed and set off a fire across several homes. One witness said the plane was ablaze before the crash. The King Air 350 turboprop reportedly took a steep turn near its destination airport before coming down. Rawalpindi, near the capital Islamabad, is the site of the Pakistani army's headquarters, and the plane belonged to the Pakistani Army's aviation unit. Policeman Murdered Six Weeks After Wedding

According to BBC, two US tourists have been questioned by a magistrate in Rome, having (been) arrested on suspicion of involvement in the murder of the Italian policeman, Mario Cerciello Rega Local media reports suggest that they were involved in a drug deal that went wrong. The American men, both 19 years old, were traced to a high-end hotel. One has reportedly confessed. Mario Cerciello Rega, 35, was stabbed to death in central Rome in the early hours of Friday morning. He had been called to the scene after reports of a robbery. Romania Police Chief Sacked After Teen 'killed by kidnapper'

Image copyright AFP Image caption The murder has triggered an outpouring of emotion in Romania Romania's interior minister has fired the chief of police after the murder of a teenage girl whose repeated emergency calls went unheeded for hours. The 15-year-old was abducted on Wednesday, but managed to make three calls and give officers details about where she was being held. Her family say officers did not take her calls seriously, while police say they had difficulty tracing her. The girl is thought to have died at the hands of her captor. Police found human remains and jewellery the girl wore at a house, and have detained a 65-year-old man for questioning. The girl, who has only been identified as Alexandra, was kidnapped while trying to hitchhike to her home in the southern city of Caracal, police say. On Thursday morning, she called the emergency hotline 112 three times, and said she had been abducted by a car driver who had picked her up, AFP news...
