Hon. Benedicta Ebuehi Felicitates With Gov Obaseki On Fifth Anniversary

The immediate past Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area, Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Ebuehi has congratulated His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki on the occasion of his fifth anniversary as the Executive Governor of Edo state.

In a statement personally signed by her and made available to newsmen, Hon. Ebuehi stated that ”It is heartwarming that your coming into office as Executive Governor of Edo state five years ago has transformed the state into a viable tier of government whose policies and programmes have continued to attract admiration and consultancy from your counterparts in other states of the federation."

The erstwhile council boss noted that even in the choice of personnel to help drive the policies and programmes of the administration of the 'Heartbeat of the Nation,' Governor Godwin Obaseki has been meticulous, which has resulted in a peaceful, harmonious and seamless execution of policies.

"Right from the deputy governor, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu - a trusted and reliable Deputy, Governor Obaseki has been able to surround himself with men and women of proven characters, who effortlessly keyed into his vision to transform Edo state to the admiration of the nation and the international community," Hon. Ebuehi stated in her message.

"It is therefore, not surprising that the governor's programmes like EdoBEST, EdoSTAR, Edo Central Park, Edo Jobs, Sir Victor Uwaifo Creative hub amongst others have not only received positive reviews across the political divide, most state governors have openly expressed their desires to replicate such programmes in their various states.

"My Wake and See Governor, I join millions of your supporters and admirers to celebrate you today as you mark the fifth anniversary of your assumption of office as the Executive Governor of Edo state.

"Notwithstanding the travails you have had to face in your quest for a second tenure, your first term scorecard was more than enough conviction for the good people of Edo state that you are the man after their hearts to continue the good work you started in your first tenure - and they so spoke unequivocally through the ballot box last year.

"One year into your second tenure, you have kept the faith and maintained visionary leadership."

The Amazon of Edo North politics concluded her message with a prayer: "As you celebrate your fifth anniversary, it is my fervent prayer that the Almighty God will continue to strengthen you and grant you more wisdom to continue to dispense more people-oriented programmes.

"Congratulations once again, my Wake and See Governor!"
