Luck ran out of an unidentified young man today in the Okugbe suburb of Okpella after he was caught in the act of stealing female underwear and children clothing, allegedly for diabolic ritual purposes.

The suspect who was found with numerous items of clothing including photographs of children confessed to be part of a gang that procures such items for a certain "Alhaji."

An eye witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity claimed that the suspect was gaining entry into people's homes under the pretence of being a stranger looking for rentable accommodation.

It was in this process the suspect was apprehended when a resident of one of the houses raised an alarm having noticed that some items of clothing including underpants were missing from where they were hung to dry following the departure of the "stranger."

Having occurred close to the residence of Etsako East local government area Chairman, Hon. Aremiyau Momoh, the matter was immediately brought to his attention after which he promptly deployed his Police aides to arrest them and hand them over to the Okpella Divisional Police Station for further investigations.

As at the time of filing this report, the Police have apprehended two more suspects linked to the case with another still at large.

However, members of the public are advised to be vigilant and watchful of their wards and belongings.
