Hon. Benedicta Ebuehi Empathises With Flood Victims ...calls on SEMA and NEMA to help supply relief materials to affected communities

The Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area, Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi, has expressed sympathy to indigenes of flooded communities in the council area, urging them to be strong as her administration makes necessary arrangement to soothe their pains.
In a statement issued by her, the Executive Chairman, who is presently out of the local government area said she was saddened by the unfortunate flooding which has brought untold hardship to the affected communities.
Fleeing the floods
"It is unfortunate that rain which is vital to agrarian communities such as ours for food crops to grow in abundance is now the harbinger of sorrow and pains to my people," Hon. Benedicta Ebuehi stated.
"While I am not available right now in the local government area due to other engagements, I am on top of the situation as I have directed top officials of the local government area to visit the affected communities to get on the spot assessment of the situation of things with the affected people and communities.
"I am equally in touch with the state government (SEMA) as well as the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other relevant agencies with a view to getting relief materials to the affected communities as soon as is possible, in order to mitigate their agricultural and material losses.
Communities affected by the flood includes parts of Agenebode, headquarters of the local government area, Uzanu, Ukpeko, Ighaewo, Yelwa, Emokweme, Egori, as well as other riverine communities.
