Hon. Benedicta Ebuehi Felicitates With Muslims At Eid el Maulud

The Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area, Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of Eid el Maulud.

In a signed message, the helmswoman of Etsako East said Eid-el-Maulud festival, which marks the birthday of Prophet Mohammwd (SAW), is a golden opportunity to extol the virtues of the Prophet, chief among which is religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence of people irrespective of their religious callings.

As I join the Muslim community worldwide to celebrate the birth of Prophet Mohammed (Peace be Upon Him) today, it is very important that we let the virtues of the Prophet guide our religious practices," the Executive Chairman stated.

"The Toga of Islam as a religion of peace must not be lost on us more so in these challenging times when the world is grappling with coronavirus epidemic that does not descriminate on the basis of religion or race or gender.

We need each other more than ever before and Eid-el-Maulud festival is yet a stark reminder of the Oneness of God.

To all my Muslim brothers and sisters, I say happy Eid el Maulud celebration to you and please, stay safe."

Princess Benedicta Ebuehi left office as the Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area, a position she stepped into when the then helmsman, Aremiyau Momoh (Mbakwe), under whom she was the vice chairman, was removed from office by the state government two years into the three-year tenure.
