The Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area, Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi has poured encomiums on Governor Godwin Obaseki as he bagged yet another award.

"This my Governor is an embodiment of intellect and industry," Hon. Benedicta Ebuehi said of the Executive Governor of Edo state who yesterday in Lagos received an award from Daily Independent Newspapers as the Governor of the Year on Economic and Youth Empowerment.

The well attended awards ceremony held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos was the latest of such glitzy events where Governor Godwin Obaseki has featured prominently, having been decorated just about a week ago as the Extraordinary Personality of the year (2019) by the Silverbird Group also in Lagos.

The Etsako East helmswoman, who was part of the Governor's entourage to the awards ceremony likened Governor Obaseki to a child who has washed his hands clean and therefore qualified to dine with kings.

"No one should be surprised that Governor Godwin Obaseki has continued to
receive rave reviews from across the length and breadth of Nigeria and even beyond considering his antecedents in the business world where he has been heralded as a world class technocrat," Hon. Benedicta Ebuehi said.

"This mercurial performance made him a sought-after personality by governments which was why when he joined the government, he was not a fringe player but was at the core of the administration preceding his current administration.
"It is therefore not surprising that within three years in office, His Excellency, Governor Godwin Obaseki's economic acumen and administrative competence have continued to receive recognitions from all over the places.

"My Wake and See Governor, I, on behalf of my people of Etsako East local government area, heartily congratulate you on the latest feather to your well-feathered cap."
