The Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area, Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi, has expressed her deep appreciation to the people of the local government for their overwhelming reception and support for Governor Godwin Obaseki during his recent campaign tour of the area.

In a press statement issued by her, she stated that she was overjoyed by the outpouring of encomiums and prayers on the Governor and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu by both the leadersip of the royal traditional institutions and the general populace as the Governor's campaign train crisscrossed the local government in the ongoing Ward-to-Ward campaign tour of the state.

"I am particularly grateful to the Traditional Rulers, who spared no efforts by ways of prayers, conferment of chieftaincy titles and endorsements, in ensuring that our hardworking governor, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki and his entourage were made to feel at home wherever they went in the local government area," the Execution Chairman stated.

"O! What do I say about the vibrant youths, the beautiful women and awesome men of the PDP family, who came out in their thousands to the campaign grounds visited by the Governor and his Deputy? You were all marvelous in your show of support and solidarity.

"While thanking you all, including the result-oriented leadership of our great Party, the PDP, from the bottom of my heart, I enjoin you to sustain this unwaivering support for our beloved Governor Godwin Obaseki to election day, September 19, 2020, and vote massively for him to ensure that nobody is left in doubt of his victory for a second term of office.

Hon. (Mrs) Benedict Ebuehi reminded the people that the struggle to move Edo forward is not over yet and advised them to sustain the house-to-house campaign and sensitization of members and new members alike to make victory for PDP come September 19, 2020 assured.

According to her, "The Ward-to-Ward campaign by the Governor and his Deputy is not the end of the struggle to move Edo State forward.

It behoves on all us to embark on and sustain house-to-house campaign until when campaigns will officially end to ensure that Governor Godwin Obaseki wins the election and fulfil the 'Divine Mandate,' which this election is all about.
