Hon. Benedicta Ebuehi Bags Double Awards

Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi, Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area poses with one of the awards


The political profile of Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi has continued to soar as she bagged two awards earlier today from two organizations.

The Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area who has become a central figure in Edo North politics during and after the campaigns leading to the governorship election that paved the way for the reelection of Governor Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Philip Shaibu for a second term of office few months ago received the first award from the Centre For Leadership And Entrepreneurial Development.


In its citation, the organization stated the award was bestowed on the Executive Chairman "Having satisfied the Governing Council requirements and in recognition and appreciation of your leadership quality and entrepreneurial development, The Governing Council of the centre for leadership and entrepreneurial development has awarded you Fellow in Administration."

Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi in her reaction after receiving the award gave gratitude to God Almighty by Whose grace she has been able to make a modest impact in the administration of Etsako East local government area despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 and the consequential downturn of the economy throughout the outgoing year.

She added that "This award is dear to me as it will spur me to continue to put in my best in the discharge of my official duties."

The second award came from no less an organization - a member of the Fourth Estate of the Realm - saddled with the watchdog role on public office holders - Current Edo North News Magazine.


The magazine, which is an authority on Edo North sociopolitical issues honoured the Etsako East Boss with what the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, Alhaji Mohammed Usman, who presented the awards, called "In recognition of your grassroot contribution and development of Etsako East L.G.A. You are honoured as the Edo North Woman of The Year 2020."

These two awards are coming on the heels of another prestigious award bestowed on the amiable and visionary Executive Chairman of Etsako East Council by the Nigerian Local Government Merit Award (LOGMA) for her "Leadership quality through service delivery and accountability," in Abuja about three weeks ago.
