Etsako East Boss Commends Soldiers As They Celebrate WASA

The Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area, Hon. (Mrs) Benedicta Ebuehi has commended the soldiers attached to the 195 Battalion, Agenebode for their untiring efforts at helping to maintain peace and security in the Council area.

She gave the commendation at the Barracks, Agenebode where she and her husband, Mr. Benedict Ebuehi, were special guests during the WASA celebration by the Army.

"I must use this opportunity to thank the soldiers of the 195 Battalion, Agenebode for their discipline and commitment to duty which has contributed immensely to the peace and tranquillity we are enjoying in this local government area," the Council Boss said.

My administration will continue to count on you and other security outfits as we keep up the struggle to make Etsako East local government a peaceful haven were both indigenes and non-indigenes cohabit peacefully as they go about their lawful activities.

WASA, which stands for West Africa Social Activities is a tradition in the Army that is celebrated every year.

During the celebration the military invite their civilian friends to celebrate with them.

The Barracks as we know it have more languages and tribes from different States of the Federation. And each tribe will perform their cultural stuff like cultural dances or dramas or any other form of entertainment.

WASA is all about celebration to relax the soldiers who for greater part of the year are preoccupied with securing the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
