Etsako East Chairman Calls For Peace And Cooperation In The New Year

 The Executive Chairman of Etsako East local government area of Edo state has enjoined the people to embrace peace and cultivate cooperation in the new year.

 Hon. (Princess) Benedicta Ebuehi, who stated this in her new year message to the good people of the council area, stressed the importance of peace in developmental efforts in any given society.

 According to the Chairman, "Peace is the oxygen that drives development in any society, because without peace, whatever good projects that may have been executed may ultimately be destroyed through avoidable crises.

 "Even proposed projects by governments and corporate organizations cannot be executed in crisis areas."

 Hon. Ebuehi therefore, appealed to the youths and adults of Etsako East to eschew bitterness and cooperate with one another in order to attract government projects and private investors to their areas.

 "Government projects and investments by the private sectors can only be sited in your areas where the government and investors are guaranteed that whatever industries they set up there will not come to any harm through violence by the host communities," the Executive Chairman stated.

 "I therefore, appeal to you all in our beloved Etsako East local government area to embrace peace and cooperation as my government is ever ready to step up development in, as well as attract local, national and international investors to the council area to make life more beautiful and enjoyable throughout the local government."

 She wishes the people a happy new year.
